Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. pol. Christian Thielscher, Managing Director
Christian is a licensed MD and economist, holding doctorates in both professions. Christian has more than 20 years experience in health care and other industries. Currently he is head of the FOM universities’ department for health economics (the FOM being the biggest German university in economics) and associated with the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany. Prior to co-founding Symbasis, Christian lead health economics consulting practice at IMS Health, Germany. He also worked as a physician at the university hospital in Bonn and spent 5 years at McKinsey as business consultant. He has extensively published and co-authored the two-volume handbook on medical economics.
Sushil Kumar Sharma, Chief Strategy Officer
Sushil holds a Master degree in Biomedical Genetics (India) and a Masters degree in Public Health (India). He has been extensively working within pharmaceuticals. Prior to co-founding Symbasis, he worked at IMS Health and Fresenius Biotech in Germany, a health economics consultancy in Malaysia, and conducted medical research in India. At Symbasis, Sushil manages Indian operations and has special interest in pharma and medtech acquisition.
